Bjorn Calleja is a multidisciplinary artist from the Philippines whose works span painting, sculpture, animation, and installation art. A graduate of Far Eastern University, Manila, his creations are influenced by 1980s-1990s pop culture, personal experiences, and the Manila cityscape. Calleja’s art explores identity, mass culture, politics, and history, blending humor and satire to critique societal issues. His vibrant colors and surreal compositions create a fantastical microcosm. Since 2011, his exhibitions like The Ennead and Terra Ignota have gained international recognition, solidifying his position in contemporary art.
